Access Log Manager
Find out more on the Access Log Manager and the info that will be inside it.
An access log is a thorough list of all the files which were accessed by the guests of a certain site. Every file that was requested in some way will be listed, so if you have one webpage with 3 embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, as an illustration, the access log shall contain a total of 6 entries - one for each of the 6 files that were accessed when the visitor opened the webpage. A log normally shows the file name and path, the date, along with the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Occasionally you can also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your site. The data which an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a personal computer and used to prepare reports on the overall performance of a website, in addition to the web stats your hosting server may have produced.
Access Log Manager in Website Hosting
If you acquire a website hosting from our company, you shall be able to decide if access logs should be created and for which domains or subdomains in your account this should be done. You could activate this function from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, included with all shared accounts. Every domain you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you'll see an On/Off option next to each of them, so you can effortlessly enable or deactivate the generation of access logs independently for every single site that you have. You'll be able to save a log to your computer by clicking on the Download link that you'll see inside the very same section of the Control Panel. The link will be available even after you stop the log generation, so you shall still have access to the data gathered by our system.
